Safe Weekends

The Safe Weekends initiative operates from Friday to Saturday nights, concluding at midnight.

Our establishment offers a secure and enjoyable option for adolescents seeking to socialize, dine, engage in recreational activities, as well as forge new friendships.

Regrettably, it is known that among young individuals, drinking has turned into a weekend pastime due to lack of options, limited means of transportation and influence from peers.

Our supervisors provide transportation for the Safe Weekends program and remain present on-site to ensure a secure atmosphere throughout the entire night.

Our safe weekends program in Saskatoon has been highly successful, and we are presently striving to acquire funding for implementing the same initiative at our Warman location.

The Warman establishment will provide significant benefits to the youth population residing in and around Warman, Osler, Martinsville alongside other nearby small towns with limited resources for their young residents.

After consulting with both community members and the town council, it became clear that there is a demand for a secure location where young people can socialize.

escalates. In particular during the winter, when there are limited activities available for young people, it is possible that they may engage in hazardous behaviours. Therefore, our aim is to intervene and prevent such negative conduct from escalating further.

In addition to a secure setting, our weekends will offer transportation for the youth.

The youth will have the opportunity to develop relationships with our supervisors, who can assist and direct them towards making improved decisions.
